Fiber One Limited Edition Pumpkin Bar

Let me take a moment to introduce you to my newest little friend from the Fiber One brand .... Fiber One Limited Edition Pumpkin Bar. I buy Fiber One products once in a while, but I don't eat them often because the added fiber can reek havoc on my stomach. But when I saw these pumpkin bars ... I knew I had to try them, and I am so glad that I did.

Before I really get into it I will say this: if you're a pumpkin fan, go to your local Target/Wal-Mart (or if you really enjoy them your local Costco) and pick up a box before they are gone for good.  The bars are truly perfection. They're soft and moist (seemingly moister than your average Fiber One bar). They are a true pumpkin flavor without being crazily artificial, there's a subtle sweetness to it with what appear to be white chocolate chips scattered here and there. They add a nice contrast in texture and the drizzle over the top is perfection.

Seemingly one of my favorite pumpkin desserts to date ... which sadly are only available for a limited time. The pumpkin lover in me wishes these would be available year round, because, yes, they are THAT good.

A serving, 1 bar, is 90 calories or 2 points plus values.

Fiber One Strawberry Cheesecake Bars

I feel like my area was the last one to get in the Fiber One Strawberry Cheesecake Bars. Typically I'm a fan of Fiber One products, but I eat their products very sparingly because the added fiber in their products can give me a world of a tummy ache. But low and behold after spotting them at Target I picked up a box (these also come in Salted Caramel).

The cheesecake bars themselves are the same size as all other Fiber One products. There's not much else to say about these other than the fact they do really taste like cheesecake. They have that crumbly crust, soft gooeyish enter with a nice jelly consistency strawberry jam running down the top of it. They're mildly sweet, but certainly not sweet enough to overwhelm the taste buds.  A few folks have said putting them in the refrigerator only intensifies the cheesecake experience.

Overall, these are quite good. They do give you that cheesecake vibe without the absorbent amount of calories/points your average cheesecake brings to the table. So, that alone is a win in my book.
A serving is 150 calories or 4 points plus values.

Fiber One Protein - Cookies & Creme

When I spotted the Fiber One Protein Cookies & Creme bars at Target I willingly popped a box into my cart. I am a longtime fan of cookies and creme ice cream/candy/desserts so to see it in a bar form was definitely enticing.

The bars themselves are slightly smaller than say a candy bar ... but size aside they are tasty! The flavor is definitely cookies and cream with some chocolate thrown into the mix.  Think along the lines of a cookies and cream candy bar that has milk chocolate covering it.  Very satisfactory on the palette. I know with some fiber added products, you can notice a fiber flavor ... but I have to say I didn't notice any a strong "fiber" taste to them. They were quite delightful and a yummy treat.

I admit, I try to space out fiber added foods (like Fiber One products) because they can have adverse effects on a tummy. I would not suggest to avoid them, but I would suggest spacing them out in your snacking agenda to avoid making yourself uncomfortable.

Fiber One Mint Fudge Brownies

I've been on a brownie kick as of late and I can't justify making a box of brownies and having 1/18th of a pan because the calories/points for it just aren't even worth eating it. So while waltzing through Target one day, I spotted and picked up the Fiber One Mint Fudge Brownies. Truthfully the mint part is what sold me because it would be a different flavor from the classic peanut butter brownies I have been enjoying for months.

The brownie is your classic Fiber One fudge brownie which is soft and cake like. They are decent in size for what you get. The mint flavoring is there, but it's certainly not overpowering. The fudge/mint flavors balance one another out without either one cancelling the other out.  I enjoy mint flavoring but I find with some desserts it can be too much ... and this is perfect for my taste buds. The only thing I do notice is the fact the "fiber taste" that can usually be found when eating Fiber One products isn't as evident in these as it normally is.

These are perfect straight out of the package, warmed just slightly in the microwave ... or even used as a brownie in a lightened up ice cream sundae.

Of course with this having added fiber it may upset some tummies ... so these aren't an item I'd suggest eating all the time. Unless of course the added fiber doesn't bother you.

Fiber One Oatmeal Raisin Soft Baked Cookies

When I heard that Fiber One had come out with cookies I was on the hunt. I love cookies but I especially love cookies (or snacks in general) that come in prepackaged portioned containers. I picked up the chocolate chip and loved it ... so I knew of course I had to try out the Fiber One Oatmeal Raisin Soft Baked Cookies because sometimes a soft baked oatmeal cookie is all one needs as a snack.

The cookies themselves are pretty decent in size. They're larger than your average packaged cookie and come in its own sealed wrapping to keep the cookie as fresh as possible. The oatmeal cookie is soft, chewy and filled with bits of oatmeal and raisins.

With some of the fiber filled products, it can have that "fiber taste" but these certainly don't have that result on my taste buds. I don't notice any extra fiber flavor and they don't give me a belly ache. I really enjoy them and I have them from time to time when I'm in the mood for a cookie but I don't want to open an entire package of cookies.

A serving size is 1 cookie, which is 120 calories or 3 points plus values.

Fiber One Chocolate Chunk Soft Baked Cookies

When I think of Fiber One … I most definitely don’t think of cookies. Why? Well, the brand has most notably been known for its high fiber cereals and snack bars. So when I heard there was such a thing as a Fiber One cookie, my interest was peaked. With that … after spotting these on my local Wal-Mart’s shelves I decided to pick up a box of the Fiber One Chocolate Chunk Soft Baked Cookies.

Each box contains 6 individually wrapped cookies. The cookies are individually packaged, which at least for me cut back on temptation. Having had store bought cookies in the past, the sizing of these particular cookies are pretty decent in size. They’re larger than your average packaged chocolate chip cookie (think Chips Ahoy). As the box states, these are soft baked cookies … and they are quite delicious. There is no funky aftertaste, just a smooth, milk chocolate chunk cookie. They’re perfect straight out of the package … while the only thing that might make these heavenly would be a small tablespoon of vanilla ice cream in between a cookie that’s been split in half.  Overall I can’t rave anymore about how fabulous these little treasures are.

Each cookie is 120 calories or 3 points plus values.

Fiber One Streusel Bar - Blueberry

Lately, Fiber One has been stepping up their fiber filled snack game. One of the new products introduced to the line are the Fiber One Streusel Bars, the bars are available in Strawberry and Blueberry. I opted to go with the Blueberry option.

I was hoping these would be good because they look scrumptious on the box. Thankfully ... the packaging didn't let me down because the bars themselves are quite delicious. If you're familiar with Fiber One bars (lemon, peanut butter chocolate, etc.) these are similar in size, only slightly bigger and thicker. They're soft, moderately chewy and just overall delicious. They don't have an after taste, the blueberry is slightly sweet and slightly tart and the streusel is plentiful. They're a delicious little treat and I found I enjoy them as a late night snack. Something to give me that "dessert" vibe.

I haven't tried it yet, but I think these would be out of this world fabulous heated up for a few seconds in the microwave.

Each bar is 150 calories or 4 points plus values.

Fiber One Caramel Sea Salt Bar

Shopping at one of my favorite stores – Target, I spotted and picked up a limited edition Fiber One bar. Fiber One Caramel Sea Salt Bars are available exclusively at Target retailers for a limited time. Admittedly, I’m not the biggest fan of the chocolate fiber one bars but I do love the lemon and cinnamon coffee cake bars … and caramel sea salt sounded delicious, so I brought it home with me.

Upon opening the package your sniffer is presented with a caramel scent. Looking at the bar, there is a caramel drizzle over the top, but any visible salt is truly minimal. Upon first bite, I will admit they do have a caramel flavor to them but it’s more along the lines of an imitation caramel flavor (think sugar free caramel syrup). They also smell a bit like imitation caramel. I wouldn’t necessarily call them “Caramel Sea Salt” because the salt aspect is very minimal and presented on only a few bites. Those factors aside, I did enjoy these. I would enjoy them more with a nice tall iced coffee. They’re a good snack to have to switch things up a bit … plus it’s a twist from the same ole same ole.

Each bar is 90 calories or 2 points plus values.

Fiber One Chocolate Pudding

When I first saw the Fiber One Chocolate Pudding pop up on my local grocery stores shelves I purchased it (and the vanilla) right away. I enjoy Fiber One products and due to the nutrition facts I decided to give it a try.

The pouch houses 2 servings of pudding and it’s recommended to set it with skim milk.  After combining the two ingredients together, the instructions call for them to be beat together for 2-minutes. Usually with Jell-O pudding you can see the pudding thickening up before your eyes. But with the Fiber One pudding the pudding stays at a liquidy consistency after mixing for 2-minutes. After mixing, it calls to allow the pudding to set in the fridge for 5-10 minutes. I admit, I was a little skeptical … but low and behold after 10 minutes the pudding was completely set. It’s a lot smoother pudding in comparison to Jell-O pudding, but mixing it with a spoon and serving it up you can’t really tell a difference. The pudding itself is sweet, chocolaty and quite filling. I enjoyed mine over sliced banana, while my boyfriend had his inside of a miniature graham cracker pie crust.

A serving (as packaged) is ½ the container which is 40 calories or 1 points plus value, or as prepared with skim milk a serving is 90 calories or 2 points plus values.

Fiber One Protein Coconut Almond Bars

I purchased these Fiber One Protein Coconut Almond Bars a while ago, tried them and forgot to post them until I just recently had another. I steer towards Fiber One products at the grocery store for snacks because they have a fair amount of protein, typically taste pretty good and are a great snack.  The line hopped on the “protein bar” bandwagon with a few flavored bars and the coconut almond seemed to be the most attractive.

I had seen numerous instagram posts saying taste just like an almond joy so I was intrigued. I like protein and nutrition bars that remind me of candy bars. But … I don’t feel this taste like an almond joy at all. They have a very prominent coconut flavor and there are almonds scattered throughout the bar. It is encased in chocolate but it has a chewy protein/nutrition bar texture (the bits look like rice crispies). I can see possibly why someone would assume this resembles an almond joy, but taste and texture wise, it’s just not an almond joy for me. Regardless, it is a tasty and filling bar.

Each bar is 140 calories but it does offer 6 grams of protein, they do calculate out to be 4 points plus values. Not bad if you are looking for something that can be sweet and filling but reminiscent of a candy bar.

Fiber One 90 Calorie Cinnamon Coffee Cake

If you’re a fan of Fiber One products, you may have noticed the brand released two new products to their cake line – a lemon (see that post here) and a cinnamon coffee cake. So, I finally got around to trying the Fiber One 90 Calorie Cinnamon Coffee Cake and all I can say is these are absolutely amazing!

The cakes themselves are on the smaller side, but they pack a punch in the flavor department which completely makes up for that.  The cakes are made up of a square softer cake which is scattered with crunchy brown sugary bits, which is drizzled with a hardened frosting. Taste wise, it tastes exactly like a full-fat cinnamon crumb cake muffin or even cinnamon coffee cake.  In a way it reminded me of the obnoxiously high in fat and calories Dunkin Donuts coffee cake muffins. They can be eaten straight out of the package, or they can even be put into the microwave for a few seconds to warm it up.  Both ways are completely decadent.  You can also jazz these up with whipped cream, a scoop of ice cream, fruit, or as I’ve been recommended a tablespoon of peanut butter or cookie butter.

Since these satisfy my sweet tooth, I really enjoy these.  Each cake is only 90 calories and 2 points plus a piece.  Totally worth it!

Fiber One Lemon Bar

This is a new snack I was on the hunt for, for weeks!  All I have to say is ... it was well worth the wait.

Fiber One has had snack bars out on the market for a very long time.  I find they’re alright, but they’re typically not something I crave.  So, why did I go on the hunt for lemon bars? Honestly? I love lemon.  They’re point friendly, filled with fiber and I just had to try them.

I opened up the package and I have to admit, they are smaller.  You’d probably be done the bar in 4-5 bites.  Size aside these are delicious.  Just tearing open the pack, a lemony scent wafts up to your nose.  The cakes have a little frosting drizzled over the top, which gives it a bit of a bite since the frosting is harder than the cake (which is soft).  One bite and you’re sold – well at least my boyfriend and I both were.  I love lemon, my boyfriend loves lemon more than I, and we both thoroughly enjoyed this snack cake.  Definitely worth the hunt if you’re in the market for a new low 2 point plus value snack.

Breakfast: Chocolate Fiber One w/ Fresh Fruit & Almond Milk

This is what I had for breakfast this morning.  I used to be a big lover of Fiber One cereal (the regular kind) until I started eating too much of it.  I saw this at the store and decided to pick it up because 1) it was chocolate and 2) it’s fiber filled cereal.  I have issues with cereals sometimes, especially when they’re not filling because a few hours after eating I find my blood sugar takes a nose dive and I’m left feeling dizzy.  I tend to eat protein packed meals and that helps keep my levels stabilized and also keeps my hunger at bay.  Anyway!

I had ¾ cup of Chocolate Fiber One, 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk, 4 sliced strawberries and a small sliced banana.  It was totally delicious and only 3 Weight Watchers Points for the whole bowl.  A great, filling, healthy breakfast!
