Fiber One Protein - Cookies & Creme

When I spotted the Fiber One Protein Cookies & Creme bars at Target I willingly popped a box into my cart. I am a longtime fan of cookies and creme ice cream/candy/desserts so to see it in a bar form was definitely enticing.

The bars themselves are slightly smaller than say a candy bar ... but size aside they are tasty! The flavor is definitely cookies and cream with some chocolate thrown into the mix.  Think along the lines of a cookies and cream candy bar that has milk chocolate covering it.  Very satisfactory on the palette. I know with some fiber added products, you can notice a fiber flavor ... but I have to say I didn't notice any a strong "fiber" taste to them. They were quite delightful and a yummy treat.

I admit, I try to space out fiber added foods (like Fiber One products) because they can have adverse effects on a tummy. I would not suggest to avoid them, but I would suggest spacing them out in your snacking agenda to avoid making yourself uncomfortable.

Special K Pastry Crisps – Cookies & Crème

I’ve been eyeing the Special K Pastry Crisps for a while now but hadn’t purchased them until I saw they had a new flavor – Cookies & Crème!  I love Cookies & Crème as an ice cream flavor so I figured I’d like it as a pastry crisp.

The pastry crisps themselves are similar to that of a very thin poptart.  It’s a pastry outside, a cream filling in the middle with a little frosting drizzle over the top.  They are smaller, but you do get a serving size of 2 crisps.  They do give you that sweet chocolatey crunch you may be looking for.  I ate them straight out of the package, but next time I have one I am definitely going to be putting it into the microwave or toaster oven for a few seconds to warm through.

A package of pastry crisps will cost you 3 points plus values.  Not entirely bad for a snacky food which can cure your sweet tooth.

QUESTION:
Have you tried the Special K Pastry Crisps? If so, what is your favorite flavor?
