  2. I have enjoyed ready your post and admire your weight loss with Weight Watchers. I also am working with WW and have been able to lose 40 lbs so far. However I am at a stand still for the last couple of months. I was wondering if you have any insight to share while working on losing the weight. So may people will say it's easy to lose but to maintain the loss it the big challenge ..... I need to get past this to continue on my journey. How did you keep focused? Thank you

    1. Congratulations on your loss so far, 40 pounds is surely something to be proud of! Maintenance can definitely be difficult, but from what I hear once you find a good balance it's typically easy as long as you keep within your points for the week. I found when I hit a plateau the scale just wasn't moving. If it did move, it would be +.2. I was getting very frustrated and my leader at the time asked me what I was eating. We quickly found it was a lot of the same things day in and day out. She told me to switch it up - eat differently for the week. She also knew I was active in the gym, so she suggested I add in 10 minutes of a new different activity and to of course stay on top of my water. I did that and the scale finally went down into the negative. Since that conversation (which was almost 1 1/2 years ago) I try to shake up my routine weekly. It's easy to get stuck in the same ole same ole and our bodies are very smart machines. Best of luck! Just remember to keep the faith and remain positive.

  3. Thank you for your answer...when you were losing the weight did you share like you do now? I find that always help me to read experiences from others and also gives me lots of new ideas. I know it's up to me to stay focused...my 1st goal is to be healthier and I am achieving that goal since my A1C is now in the normal range for the first time in many many years.. Thank you for your help and keep up the great job on your journey and your wonderful blog

    1. I still am losing - I've got about 30 to go before I reach goal and can achieve lifetime status at Weight Watchers. I started by blog almost a year and a half ago. I was sharing recipes, etc., on a blogging website and I have always been an active member of my meetings (sharing my experiences, my weeks,my new finds, etc.) but I finally decided why not designate all these posts to my blog. That's when I really picked up my blogging. Looking back on it, I wish I would've started blogging back in 2010 -- but I wasn't as comfortable and open then. It took a couple months before I would speak up at my meetings (the shyness in me took over).

As long as you remain focused and keep you and your health in mind it's a lot easier. It's not selfish to put yourself first. I find so many people think it's selfish, but it's not, because I say if we don't take care of ourselves, who else will?
